Exploring Happiness and Well-being through Mandala Drawing

Learn about Positive Psychology, “the science of happiness” and explore strategies which have immediate and lasting positive effects in our personal and professional lives. Implement Positive Psychology interventions through mandala drawing, a process used in art therapy to focus and direct attention. Materials will be provided.
Explore these important questions:
• Who is happy, why be happy, and what is happiness, anyway?
• The purpose of negative and positive emotions
• The definition of positive traits such as character strengths, values, and talents and how utilizing them helps us increase well-being.
Objective 1) Attendees will be able to define the personal and professional importance of happiness and well-being.
Objective 2) Attendees will be able to define the role of positive and negative emotions and their role in increasing well-being.
Objective 3) Attendees will identify character traits and strengths and explore how utilizing them can increase meaningful engagement and life satisfaction.
