Positive Art Therapy Supervision:  Applying Positive Psychology Principles to Art Therapy Supervision
Enhancing Our Relationship with Our Trainees/Supervisees and With Our Clinical Work

The Art Therapy Credentialing Board (ATCB) is now requiring that all Registered and Board Certified Art Therapists receive 6 hours of continuing education in supervision each 5 years.  For those who are up for their 5 year recertification this year, the deadline is June 30, 2023 (*See below).   If you’re not yet due for recertification, this will get you ahead of the game.

This training provides a dynamic means of fulfilling that requirement for those of you who are supervising/training others. It will also serve as well as a means of energizing your work even if you are not.

In this invigorating and inspiring workshop, we will weave in principles from positive psychology with art therapy practice in ways that enhances not only the supervisory experience but our also own clinical practice. We will also explore ways that this work can positively impact our personal relationship to our work by preventing burnout and increasing compassion satisfaction.

  • Walk away with concrete strategies for implementing a positive psychology based approach to supervision.
  • Receive helpful handouts that can be used to enhance the supervisory relationship.

This training will qualify for 6 CEC’s for both the ATCB and the National Board of Certified Counselors (See below).

Rebecca is a master presenter, educator, and storyteller who uses her professional and personal experiences to engage others.  The principles of positive psychology are literally embodied in this workshop, and participants leave with energy and motivation to learn—and do—more in the service of self and other.
