PRESENTER: Lanie Smith MA ATR owner of Integrative Art Therapy, is a Registered Art Therapist with 7+ years of clinical experience working with a wide range of populations both nationally and internationally. Early in her career she was able to publish research to support the efficacy of Art Therapy while working with the National Institute of Health. She now specializes in individual and group services with adults to address mental and behavioral health issues throughout the greater Phoenix area. Lanie’s true passion combines art and nature to promote self-care among women and helping professionals for the treatment and prevention of vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout.

  • Overview of Art Therapy’s foundational framework known as the Expressive Therapies Continuum along with the risks and benefits of practicing Art Therapy
  • Introduction and experiential in the healing properties of Environmental Art Therapy for increased awareness of the relationship between natural and man-made environments
  • Hands on experience of the creative process for self-care for prevention of burnout/compassion fatigue

Rebecca Wilkinson MA ATR-BC LCPAT A therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience, specializing in Art Therapy. Through extensive practice with individuals struggling with severe illness she has developed an appreciation for the power of the human spirit to prevail even in the darkest moments. Rebecca has more recently broadened her scope to work with people who, although they may not identify a desire or a need to seek professional counseling, also want to feel better, more engaged and energized, more connected to others and them¬selves, and more empowered in their personal and professional lives. Rebecca is an experienced workshop facilitator for corporations and government agencies presenting on a variety of wellness topics and is the founder of Creative Wellbeing Workshops in Washington, D.C. and Tucson.

Sally Markley MA ATR A licensed psychotherapist and a registered art therapist specializing in couples, family’s and individuals. Her specialty is relationships and trauma recovery. Her counseling services foster a supportive process to further growth and development. Enabling you to experience a greater sense of awareness, a stronger sense of self-esteem and to develop more tools for coping. She has been working with adults, children and families for over fifteen years. Sally has a long standing history working in Tucson for children adults and families and, currently has a strong private practice designed to meet your individual or family needs.
